The Kalahari and the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park

We have just got back into a bit of cellphone reception after being out of range for a few days (which has been the best thing ever).
What to say about the Kalahari and the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park…. it’s just one of those epic iconic African destinations. Real Savanah! Endless red sand dunes dotted with massive Acacia trees and as much wildlife as you could ever wish to see.
It’s difficult to write a post about everything that has happened over the past few days since Namibia and so once again this is a brief overview. More to come when I have some time.
After entering the park through the Mata Mata gate we headed off to Xaus Lodge – a community owned lodge by the Komani San.
We were treated to a first ever ‘Wild camp’ in the area and two nights of luxury at the lodge itself. Just an incredible experience and a ‘must visit’ destination if you ever wish to travel there.
Jacques Marais and Peter Kirk have been teaching me some photography and I’m loving it. Dankie ous! Especially the stars!!
Kim van Kets leg is healing well and tomorrow I will take a few of the stitches out.
We traveled past Noenieput today and visited HJ Cronje and family who we met during Kim’s Expedition around the perimeter is SA.
We have just arrived Augrabies Falls National Park and met up with Zane Schmahl and family who will be joining us for our next few adventures!!
More to follow!
