Training for the Solo Atlantic

Training for the Solo Atlantic

Training
There are just 9 months left in the build-up to the 2009 Atlantic Rowing Race.
I have been putting in some serious hours of training (2-4 hours a day) to get my body ready for a 50 to 90 day pounding. So far so good – I feel completely on track.
Professor Noakes, who helped with the last race, has suggested that I use the first 70% of the race for good solid training and then seriously put my head down and race the last 30%. If I arrive at the start of the race peaking physically, I would probably only last 10-15 days. Food for thought.
So at the moment I am eating big and going hard.
